Jim,
I am so sorry to hear all the news about your Mom. We did not realize she was so sick.
My Dad died of Leukemia. He was in remossion for 4 years then died of complications of it at 75.
I can tell you I was fortunate enough to have a great relationship with my Dad (Mom too) but my sister did not. We were there for each other and we, Todd & I, were both fortunate enough to have him live with us for a few years after my Mom passed.
Anyway, After is was all over, well it was just terrible. For a long time. Then one day I wonk up & thought he's ok. Really he is. I just felt peace for him & the pain was over.
The time he had between being diagnossed & his death was almost 5 years. Amazing at his age & amazing since I could spend so much time with him then. He lived life to the fullest right till the end.
Now we live so far from my home but I know he is so close. Sometimes if I listen, really listen I can hear & feel him close in my heart. I still wish I could pick up that phone & call him to tell him something or to just say "Hi".
I will keep you, your family & your Mom & Dad in my prayers. I hope all is as well as can be & hold stong.

Slave, me firing the Dragon was in the Phillipines. The picture with it on my back was Australia. Both pictures were in 1988.
Vicki, It sucks knowing your parents are going to die. I guess it happens to all of us at some time, I just thought we would have more time. Yeah that's me!!! in both pitures.
